We get it… People are leading busier and busier lives, and often are pretty strapped themselves for either time or cash. What we have found, however, is that when you can finally take a moment to reach out and learn about your community and recognize the needs and struggles around you, your own problems seem to pale in comparison.
As Maya Angelou once said, “Do the best you can until you know better. Then when you know better, do better.”

Foodraising Friends
I never knew there were so many families struggling with food insecurities. I was clueless. When I first learned about FRF in 2017, I was shocked by the data and the numbers in Santa Rosa County. In truth, many families are one paycheck away from financial disaster. Your neighbors are deciding whether to pay the light bill or go grocery shopping. The need is real, and it’s right here in your own backyard. How can we expect a child to behave well and learn when they are genuinely worried about where their next meal is coming from? It’s time to break the cycle.
The gift of food feeds the body, feeds the mind, and empowers the person. FRF exists to feed children and families at risk for hunger during extended school breaks and through direct referrals. There are no hoops to jump through or mounds of paperwork to be completed. We have effectively removed the barriers so we can simply feed the children in need.
We work closely with guidance counselors in the schools and programs we serve to assist as many as possible. We currently serve 19 schools in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties in addition to AMI Kids, Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and other deserving organizations.

Sportsmen Givin’ Back
SGB was created to serve those within our local community. Initially, their primary purpose was to create opportunities for fishing and hunting trips for differently-abled, special needs individuals, ill children, and wounded veterans.
We have evolved over the years to include so much more… a new roof for a family going through hard times, a super cool wheelchair capable of traversing any type of terrain donated to a young man who otherwise would never have that opportunity, helping to fund a grant for children’s cancer research in honor of a local family who lost their daughter to the dreaded disease and more… Last year, they raised over 100,000.00, which they donated to local charities and individuals in need.
They also participate in various service projects all year long, especially during the holiday season. Their Thanksgiving and Christmas programs have grown exponentially over the last few years. There is nothing like providing families a feast, a Christmas tree, presents… the whole nine yards. These families never would have had that experience without their assistance. There wasn’t a dry eye around, and I am grateful every year to be a part of it.

Unbranded
Unbranded’s mission is to serve human trafficking survivors who have been branded while trying to survive the life. The UNBRANDED Board of Directors is comprised of experienced healthcare professionals and business and community leaders with a passion for serving others. We are local and state advocates working to help survivors on their path to recovery.
We are here to empower survivors by breaking the psychological chains of enslavement through beautifying, removing, or covering their physical scars, markings, and branding. We remove the constant reminders of a violent and traumatic past.
